1 lb Sweet Italian Beef Sausage (optionally use 1/2 ground pork)
2 tbsp olive oil
1/2 cup grated carrots 1/2 cup celery, minced 1/2 cup onions, finely minced
16 oz jar marinara
1/4 cup heavy cream
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp black pepper
1 lb wide pasta noodles, such as pappardelle or tagliatelle
1. Add 1lb of Sweet Italian Sausage to a hot pan with olive oil. Break it up into small bits and then add carrots, celery, and onions.
2. Cook until meat is browned and then add the marinara with salt and pepper. Simmer on low for 30 minutes or until it's at the desired thickness.
3. Add heavy cream (or substitute milk and butter). Then stir and wait 3 minutes before removing from heat.
4. Serve over your favorite wide/thick pasta noodles and cover with grated parmesan cheese and an olive oil drizzle.
